Intelligence, in my estimation, is simply any active organization of multiplicity, the process of organization itself; while an intellect is an organised multiplicity. An “intelligible” then, is simply any unit qua object, that is, any unit insofar it can be objectified, or “situated”, which is the precondition for even “knowing” it. I believe this henological definition covers the various senses of Nous, whether it refers to entities in themselves as eternal intellects and/or intelligences, or if it refers to the powers of a soul.
